I'm back...blogging again...
Today the Evenson/Grass "crew" headed into the city via the "choo-choo train" and went to the "Winter Wonderland" at Navy Pier. If you haven't been, and have little ones, it is just a great "festive" activity to do with the entire family! It surely makes you feel like "Christmas!" There are jumpy things all over, cookie decorating, slides, train rides, indoor ice-skating, jugglers, theme park rides and so much more! Of course, the kids had a ball, and Ben who's 10 said, "They really ought to make more things for us older kids!" "We like to jump in the jumpy things, too, and pelt balls at each other!" It was just a relaxed, silly, fun day! We needed a little "quiet" break so we headed to the very classy restaurant named Riva. It overlooks Lake Michigan and all the big boats. It was a wonderful peaceful place to eat!! By this time, Fayth was getting a bit tired but she was still doing well. REMEMBER...it's day 7 and we are still trying to adjust our bodies...however; she ate like a "hog" and couldn't wait to get back to the festival. After our lunch we headed back for some more fun in the Winter Wonderland & then walked through the inside of Navy Pier to catch a cab. This is where Fayth fell DEAD A** asleep on Jon's shoulders...it was just hysterical. She had a ball but it was definitely time for a nap!! Can't wait to scrapbook these photos! Then we taxied over to Michigan Avenue to hit NIKE TOWN for the boys of course!! Papa and Jon picked up hats (what else is new) and then we headed to ZARA!!! For those of you who are my Dubai friends, you KNOW I LOVE ZARA and have been complaining we don't have one in the Midwest...Well, recently opened...we now have one in "my neck of the woods" on Michigan Avenue in the city! We made a pit-stop there, I spent my birthday money from Gammy & Papa (got two super cute tops) and then went back to the train station, just in time, to buy Garrett's Popcorn, sodas, Jamba Juice, Auntie's Pretzels, lemonade, Miss Fields Cookies, and more for the train ride home!!! It happened to be a perfectly Wonderful Winter Wonderland!! Can't wait to do it all again another year!!!
