Today was Fayth's last "real" day of preschool. Thursday is the year-end party! So, in her loot...came her ballerina outfit! Oh, if you could have been a fly on the wall. She was SO excited to put it on for me and act like a knuckle head!! She grabbed the bag, undressed herself, put on the leotard with attached tu-tu (backwards but who cares) and danced around the apartment! So what was I doing...Just smiling ear to ear and once again running for the camera!!!!!!! I hope she loves dance as much as I did!!!!!!!!!! I took dance from very early (like her age) until I went off to college!!!!!!!!! I don't care what genre it is....just DANCE!!! I'll be framing one of these!!! Just wish the hair clip matched the leotard!!

Where in the World is Fayth???
Well, a few weeks ago my little lady scared me to death. I went to check on her at nap time and she wasn't in her toddler bed. So I ran to our room...nowhere to be found....checked the bathrooms, etc. etc...See...I never walk "all the way" into her room because the toddler bed is a straight shot view from the door. Then, I ran back into her room and there she was out cold in the KING size bed! When she woke up from her nap I asked her where she slept and she said, "Mommy, big bed...I'm a big girl now!" So, there you have it. We now put her in the big bed for naps and nighttime. Of course, we have a stuffed animal and a pillow barrier on the open side.
Yesterday, we decided to clean, rearrange, and organize her room. Fayth was not the best help!! I'd clean it, she'd take it out again!! However; I said let's turn your little bed into a "chaise lounge" and you can read books on it!! She was pumped!! She hopped right in and read away...It had to be for over an hour...one her own...while I organized.
We moved ONE of the book baskets close to the bed and stood the books up for easy access. She was in heaven!!
So, this morning after waking up, I was putting on my makeup and guess what...she was in her lounge "little bed" reading away. I ran for the camera. She was hysterical and posed for the photo!!
I am so happy she loves to read. We have more books than the Cary library...I swear!! But, that's not a bad thing to love!! Daddy normally buys her a new book at week on their outing to the fishies & sharks!!
The first photo is of her last night before we went to bed...she was lying left to right rather than up & down, and on her cutie big fluffy white bear!! All I can say is, she is a BIG girl now...look how long and big she looks in the photo!! Where in the World is my "baby!"

Paris Hilton in Dubai
Some of you may "hate" her and some of you may "like" her but the world's most famous socialite is here in Dubai for over three weeks filming the show "My New BFF"...Best friend forever in the UAE and it will be aired in the states this year. No, I didn't try out for the show but it did cross my mind! She has done two other versions in the US and UK.
She is everywhere plastered all over the city. Malls, magazines, papers, billboards...just about everywhere you look you can see Paris "embracing" the culture in her lime green abaya made just for her! She plans to ride a camel, get a henna tattoo, go dune bashing, ski the inside slopes, hit the pool & beach, and FIND SOME STORES TO CARRY HER HANDBAGS! You may say she's a dumb blonde, but handbags and designer is "Dubai", and she is a smart business lady to want to bring her purses here!!
So, what I'm trying to say, be watching the TV guide for show times and you may want to tune in. I'm sure they will highlight the city very well and you can get a better understanding of where in the world the "Evenson's" live!!
When someone 'out there' finds out when it will be on...please shoot us an email. We'd like to watch it via the computer. Thanks!!
Lu Lu Hypermarket

I just LOVE the name "Lu Lu Hypermarket" so KellyAnne, Ryan, Fayth and I had to go check it out. Jon was on a trip to Saudi and we took the car & headed for a fun time at the Hypermarket. It's two levels. It's like Kohl's on the top floor and a grocery store on the bottom. Fayth liked to drive the car for about "two seconds" and then wanted to be a BIG girl and walk, shop and touch everything! Ryan got buckled in, GOOD JOB KA, something I never insisted on and am paying for it now!!
We bought some stickers, a puzzle for the airplane ride home, and other things we didn't need!!!

Our Friends Dana & Max
We had some visitors this week. Dana and Max were at the mall and stopped by for a playdate!! It's so fun to have an "impromptu" playdate. Fayth and Max were in heaven. They tore apart her room, ate yummy bagel bread & made a mess, read books, and just had fun!! Max even tried on Fayth's houseslippers from Vietnam...and yes...I did a "Polish" thing and cut off the toes because they were tight on her!
The mommies had fun, too, as we chatted and caught up. Thanks for stopping by. You are welcome anytime...I love the spur of the moment visit!!

Happy Father's Day!!!!!!!!
Happy Dad's, Papa's, and Grandpa's Day...
Fayth is lucky enough to have the best daddy, two wonderful papa's, two fun uncles, and even a great-grandpa we like to call "Cool Grandpa Joe!"
Jon & I are lucky enough to have the SAME special people in our lives!
From miles & miles away, we wish all of YOU and our friends, that are "daddy's" too, Happy Father's Day!! We love and miss you all!!
You are not only special people because you are the MEN in our lives, but you are the dad's in our children's' lives. Thank you for all that you do!!
Father's Day Saturday
As you know, Sunday is a work day in Dubai, so Saturday evening after the baby shower was our Father's Day Celebration. Fayth "told" Daddy the reasons she loves him with a little list and various gifts to represent the reasons. Jon "ate it up with a spoon" and loved his presents!!
His favorite, the lion mug of course!! It will be put on his desk at work with pens & pencils in it!!
We had a steak dinner, some wine, and an eventful "Skype" evening with friends & family!!!
He had a great Father's Day and said, "There is nothing better than being a DAD!!" I must say...he is SUCH a great dad & has been since the day Fayth was born. I feel lucky he is SO involved and hands-on! He'd have it no other way!! Thanks, Pookie...we love ya...Happy Happy REAL Father's Day!!
A Baby Girl!!
Today I hosted a baby shower for Lauren. She and Aaron are expecting a baby girl at the beginning of August! This is their first child, they are 'young pups' compared to us, and so very excited for the arrival of their new little girl!!
I, of course, had a ball getting ready for the shower!! It was a small & sweet and ALL PINK!! I must say, it's much harder to host when you don't have all your "decorating supplies" in your back closet! I had a boat load of "junk",back home, that I could pullout and use at any time! I also miss my glue gun! Anyway, we had a wonderful time and Lauren got showered with some GREAT gifts!!! She got the cutest little swimsuit, great for Dubai weather, some gift vouchers to the local Babyshop, a bouncy seat, a playmat, a collapsible tub, shape game, an adorable basket filled with baby loot and gorgeous dress, and a BOOK from every guest in place of a card. Fayth couldn't wait to give Lauren her gift. She even decorated the front of the book for the baby!! She is just so into this "present thing!" The cutie little girl in the photos is Zayneb, Jon's bosses daughter. She is one month older than Fayth and just a little peanut!! Fayth, Zayneb, Jon and Aaron headed to the pool to let the ladies eat & chat in peace! When they returned, we did gifts and enjoyed great desserts prepared by KellyAnne!! Yum Yum!! If you can get a close up on the cupcake "wrappers" do so. KA ordered them from Australia just for the shower. They were the cutest things I've ever seen!! Now it's just the waiting game!! We can't wait to meet little Vanney!!
The BIG Purple Dino on Stage!!
Abu Dhabi...here we come!!! On Friday, we jumped in the car and headed to Abu Dhabi. About an hour & fifteen minutes from Dubai. We got tickets to see BARNEY LIVE on Stage!!
Fayth loves Barney and we thought it would be a nice treat!
She liked the performance, didn't sit still of course and wanted to dance in the aisles, liked the idea of getting her face painted but when it was our turn "didn't want to have anything to do with it" HOWEVER; she did...aka...long line and I made her, was given a sword balloon by a cute boy, had every kind of junk food I could load into my purse, and then PASSED out cold at 3:30 on the way home!! In her world it was a great day!! In our world, it was WAY overpriced for a short Barney performance but worth it to see her face!!
