Haircut...

for a certain little lady at the Marina Mall today. We're getting ready for vacation and a clean-up was needed in order for Fayth to meet Cinderella. So...we headed to a children's' salon called Favourite Things! The lady did a great job and Fayth sat still and was a big girl. It seems like just yesterday I was having her on my lap, all wiggly, and she was getting her first haircut in Cary at Modern Wave. Where on earth does the time go??!!

Up, Up, Up...

into the sky we went this morning as daddy took "his girls" to the 124th floor of the Burj Khalifa. He wanted Fayth to experience it before we came home for our vacation this summer. I, of course, loved getting the opportunity to go again having the "grand tour" by Pookie. Fayth...she liked it...but didn't quite get it...but totally pointed out our apartment tower!! So, maybe she did get it??!! We were lucky enough to go up at 9:00 am before it opened to guests and daddy got the VIP treatment like always!! It was a hazy day...but we were able to still see really well. However; from the photos it just looks like a lot of white behind us. I am still amazed that the ride up is so quiet, smooth, and QUICK!! The view is amazing and the whole experience from start to finish with escalators, elevators, etc...is remarkable!! I love the picture of Jon and Fayth and our family picture as well. Perhaps a framer!! Thanks daddy and Burj Khalifa crew...we LOVED IT!!
*** As we were leaving a man was doing some touch up painting or something on the outside and I took his picture!! Holy Cow...can't imagine hanging harnessed in that thing!!***

Chilling!!

What do they do best...chill together!! Both of them love to watch TV!! I have to put a limit on it for BOTH of them!! Love these photos!!

A Week to Recover...

Yes...Fayth was awful, naughty, nasty, busy, bratty, bossy, and the list goes on and on!! Last week on Thursday we headed with Alma and Karen to the More Cafe' for breakfast!! And, I must admit...I was crabby & stressed. Obviously, not a good combination!! Well, after two waters being spilled, whining the whole time, not listening to me, and a million other things...she spent the afternoon GROUNDED in her room!! And, are you ready for this...I put her down the minute we walked in the door without any lunch!! I even SHUT her door!! Well, maybe slammed her door. Yes, I was a little perturbed!! How long did it take her to fall asleep...about 2 minutes...no joke!! And when she woke up...YES...I fed her...and sent her back to her bedroom until dinner. Did it work...I think so. She felt badly and really was sad to tell daddy about her behavior when he got home!! So...we are all human...but gotta nip this in the bud as best as I can!! Sorry Karen and Alma...hope to do it again and actually enjoy our breakfast!!

"MOM...COME ON...

I'm ready already, let's go!!!" Seriously.................this is exactly what the little lady was saying as she was standing at the door ready to hit the mall the other day!! Wonder where she gets the "tude" from??!! All I did was look at her, laugh and run for the camera!! She could hardly hold my purse...it weighed more than her!!

Anniversary Dinner Out...

was wonderful! Started off a little shaky, as our babysitter Mary, was not picked up by her driver on the other side of Dubai where she had cleaned her last home, but Lauren saved the day! She came over in a jiffy until Mary arrived! Thanks Lauren!! We headed to the Burj Khalifa, Armani Hotel's, Italian restaurant called Restaurante'. It was such a cool view from the entrance to the Hotel looking straight up into the sky at the tower. The Hotel was so prim & proper we really didn't belong. I think from the opening of my door, at the valet, to the sitting down at our table at least 8 guys escorted us...from one to the other!! The operation was amazing and made you feel so "important!" Little did they know we are just two "pee-ons" from Cary, Illinois!! It was amazing. It's all about the experience! The meal...well...we liked it...but I'm sure our friend "Jeff the chef" would have LOVED it and really appreciated it more than us! The drinks...well, let's just say I shouldn't have had Jon make me a vodka before we left. I probably could have fallen face down in my "beef cheeks" ravioli! Our first thoughts as we left the restaurant...is there a "Taco Bell" drive through in Dubai! Ha Ha! (and that's why we "work" together...we are on the same page..) Instead, we opted for McDonald's ice cream and a drive around town. It was a relaxing and romantic evening!! It was a big celebration as another chapter in our lives starts!
As for the Armani...too sleek, modern, and "plain" for my taste!! However; well done if that's your fancy!! I prefer the more "Glamorous" route like Bellagio!!
***Gotta love the first two photos...guess who took those!?!***
