on Saturday for Miss Dana, Alan and Max. Instead of the Hayya Club it was our pool at South Ridge and a brunch prepared by me. We had a great time all around. The kids loved playing in the apartment after brunch and we actually sat as couples, drank coffee, and chatted! So nice!
We have such a great time when we are all together! Alan and Jon headed out the nice before for dinner together and to have some "cocky tails" as boys!! A good plan because it gave me a chance to get brunch "prepped" for the next day and the table set. I even tried a few new recipes. I made a great new couscous Mediterranean salad and a yummy Au gratin broccoli and cauliflower dish. Yummy!!
All I have to say is...Sorry Alan...didn't ever give you much credit in the "ole academic department" but you blew my mind (as I choked on my coffee) over the proper definition of a mule. Down to the damn infertility of the animal!! How did we get on the subject you ask...Fayth was singing "Old McDonald" holding animals up for Max to name (playing school) and Miss Dana asked...what's the difference between a donkey and a mule. Well, low and behold...Alan busted out instantly with, "It's when a female horse and a male donkey mate...they make a mule" "A mule is then infertile and can't reproduce!" It was even a fancier answer than than...but I can't remember it!! All I know is I ran to my computer and GOOGLED it and he was so so right!! We couldn't stop laughing!! Thanks guys...another great day!
