Today a fun package arrived from Gramie & Papa. Papa Tom just returned from another trip to Vietnam and picked Fayth up another adorable "kimono" and hair clip. She also got cutie booties that we will use as house slippers. The package was filled with goodies &; dollie even got a new altered outfit...but the highlight was the Martha Stewart birdie pom-pom kit. Yes, Gramie sent us a craft to make. See...we call my folks...birdie birdie Gramie & Papa...and Jon's folks...doggie doggie Gammy & Papa. My parents, espcially my dad, have a thing for birds. He loves to feed the birds, watch the birds, clean their bird baths, etc... When Fayth has been to Rockford to stay...she takes part in all the "BIRD" hubbub...and she loves it!! She even knows the names of the different birds, no joke!! Jon's folks are doggie doggie because Fayth LOVES their doggie Maggie Mae more than life itself!!! She asks to see the doggie on Skype more than anyone else!! It's an easy great way to refer to our families since Gammy & Gramie sound so similar & our dad's are both Papas!!
SO, former teacher Gramie, thought it would be fun to send a "birdie" craft! Indeed it was...Fayth and I both had a blast! The birds are dry and complete & perched on the sweetpea flowers that were also included in the package. We now have an "OH SO BEAUTIFUL" arrangement on our table. I just chuckle when I see it. It looks like something straight out of a nursing home...but Fayth...she loves it and couldn't wait for daddy to get home to see her birdie creation. That "Martha Stewart" gotta hand it to her...she's got it in the bag! As for Fayth...she is an animal, bird, and marine life junkie...just like her daddy!!
