Hotel JAL Fujairah Resort & Spa

We made it!! YIPPEE...we were so excited for some fun in the sun!!

When we arrived, they offered us iced tea & cool towels to wipe our hands and face while daddy checked in. Of course, we graciously accepted both! Then, two seconds later, we dropped the glass on the floor in front of everyone and it broke into a million pieces. They said not to worry...it happens all the time!

We hit the closest pool for a few hours before our room was ready. Then at about noon, we checked in, only to find out we got upgraded for FREE because I had requested a ground level room and they didn't have any available. Well, things work out for a reason...we had a HUGE room with a perfect "sofa lounge" for Fayth to play and sit on. It was an ideal room for us with a gorgeous view. We quickly reapplied lotion and headed to another pool at the resort. It has five pools to enjoy and 500 meters of private beach. We spent the afternoon, nap free, and having a ball in the kids pool and adult swim up bar pool. The cold Coronas were going down rather nicely! At about five we headed inside to the indoor daycare to play for awhile. This is a play land where you can drop your kid(s) off for "FREE" and they watch them for as long as you'd like. This is VERY VERY common practice in the Middle East. Services like this are offered at all the hotels, malls, etc. I, however, stayed and played with Fayth. Then we went upstairs and quickly got comfy cozy. Daddy turned on the TV, Fayth played baby, and mommy sat outside and enjoyed a glass of wine & the view while working on our grocery list for the week. A little bit of peace and quiet for all of us. Then, we got dressed (even though we didn't want to move) and walked down to the beach to watch the sunset and gather some photos on the beach. Glad we did...it was wonderful. After returning to our room and not feeling like getting showered and "done up"...we ordered in room service and stayed in for the night.

At about eight o'clock, we ordered dessert, chowed down in bed and hit the hay!! We needed to be up to do it again the next day!!! The next day was another fun day in the sun!!!

We are so happy we ventured to Fujairah for the weekend. We'd go again next weekend if we could. It was a WONDERFUL weekend away!!
