Well, once again, RA pulls through. What with this time? A pumpkin that REALLY looked liked a pumpkin that is made for carving!! She taught Fayth about pumpkins, they looked at pictures of jack-o-lanterns, and together we taught her the p-u-m-p-k-i-n song!! Then, I got to draw the face and together Fayth and I carved the pumpkin. Final touches...a "fake" tea light...it was just perfect!! The funniest part of the activity...Tom put the cut-out eye pieces over his eyes & the sweetest part...Fayth hugged the jack-o-lantern when we were done carving and "lighting it!" She loved it! Thanks to RuthAnne and our packages in the mail from my family...we surely felt like we had a "real" Halloween this year!! Hurray!! Even the part where you gain a pound or two from Halloween candy...RuthAnne brought me my favorite...Almond Joy candy bars!! Last night I had one in the middle of the night!! Yum Yum!!
