Desert Safari

On Sunday afternoon, RuthAnne and Tom got picked up at 3:15 to head to the desert to get a true taste of Arabia. They hit the sand and got to experience the thrill of desert dune bashing, enjoyed the view of the timeless desert while watching the sunset and then headed to the camp site built in a typical Bedouin style. They got to relax in carpeted tents, try camel riding, eat some authentic Arabic dishes (like tandoor bread) smoke she-sha, and watch a belly dancer live stage. Then, they were returned to our apartment at 9:30 p.m. They walked in and couldn't stop talking about the adventure. They LOVED it...the entire experience. Well...except for the young lady with the 'puke bag' in the second row of their Land Rover. She never got sick but cried the entire time out on the dunes...it just "added" a bit more excitement to the trip.
Enjoy some of their photos. We sure did!!
