We were starting to feel more like our "normal" selves yesterday so we headed to the expat mom & toddler playgroup to see our friends we've missed!
Did I mention my child is potty training and we headed to playgroup in big girl undies?? Let me tell you...this made playgroup that much more interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!
We started taking "potty training" serious on Sunday and she has been doing great. We have been home though and that makes life a lot easier. So, I packed my bag, and oh my, it was quite the bag...five pairs of undies, three pairs of pants, different shoes, rags, and said a long prayer!
YES...she did great until she came running over, the minute I stopped watching her for a second, and said..."MOMMY...pee pee, wet, potty, uh-oh!" So yes...she had an accident somewhere between the colorful jumping balls and me. Hope it wasn't in the balls!!!! I'm sure some "mums" would have freaked out about that! (That's a whole other blog for another day...griping moms). So, we changed into new dry undies & pants and life was good again. Then, all comfy cosy at lunch with the ladies and kiddos...and I HAD TO PICK THE SEAT AT THE BACK OF THE BOOTH!! Dah???? "Mommy" she says, "Got pee pee"...I said, "Hold it, hold it in"...and pushed my way out of the booth and went running. Can you believe it...she made it. No joke!! What a trooper. And here in Dubai...all restaurants don't have bathrooms...sometimes you must use the mall bathrooms. So we ran past some fabulous handbag stores and jewelers, down a long hallway to the bathroom. No, I wasn't window shopping...but handbags...maybe I was peeking as I was yelling "Hold in the pee pee!!" It sure is fun...this potty training! Makes life a little more "wet & wonderful!" So all in all, the two P's, Playgroup & potty training, made for a fun-filled day!!

sHey Suzanne - Have you heard of Pull-ups??? I think if you are out, maybe you should use em. I would hate to think of all the kids peeing in the balls - gross! Good for Fayth - hope she keeps it up...........Me
YEAH! Good job Fayth!!! She'll be "keeping it dry" as we say in no time! Just stick with it while you are out and about, it's the only way she'll learn. :) Very proud of you both!!
