On Tuesday, Fayth went to school and the four of us had a terrific day touring the downtown area. We walked to the Souk Al Bahar and browsed around, snapped some photos of the tower, continue over the bridge to the mall and spent the day. We started out at the tunnel seeing the fishies and sharks...then went to the underwater zoo...had a great lunch in front of the huge aquarium...did some shopping and RuthAnne hit the jackpot at the chic store called MANGO and scored herself a great dress for her upcoming reunion...headed to the candy store (I chowed down the best Almond Joy ice cream ever)...shopped some more...toured the mall and saw the ice rink and divers wall...walked back to the Al Manzil souk to get Fayth from school and headed home!!! We were all POOPED but it was such a great day. I made an Italian dinner and we chilled out & had some cocktails. We ended our day with Jon's famous "driving tour" at night and got to go out on the Palm and see the Atlantis, the marina, and Sheik Zayed Road (the main drag) all lit up at night, and FINALLY our eyelids!! Tom and RuthAnne can't believe all the construction and are loving their trip so far!! We are loving having them here to visit!! Jon is so proud of all the projects he is getting to work on & loves 'showing' them off...Tom is equally excited and loves hearing about the ins and outs of the city!!
