As I've written in earlier posts, my friend Aysun, delivered her baby at 27 weeks. He spent some time in the NIC unit to become strong and healthy. Well, baby Aras got to come home a few weeks ago and Aysun & Semih are over the moon! He is doing VERY well and has no machinery or antibiotics that he needs to be on. Just your normal vitamins!! It is a true miracle and blessing that he is home safe and sound!! His actual birthday was suppose to be on February 8th. He is still not even full-term!! We've waited to celebrate, under the circumstances, but last night it was time to have a little party in honor of the lil' man Aras. We met at our local Caribou coffee shop and had a small party. Unfortunately, Aras wasn't able to join us. He will get to meet us all in February sometime after they get the doctor's approval! It was a really quaint and special evening. We ordered some great "fancy" coffees and KA and I made some treats! Aysun just smiled ear to ear and chatted about her new "mommy" experiences!! We just drooled over all the cutie little onesies and outfits and chatted about how those precious little people turn into NOT SO PRECIOUS bigger little people!! Just kidding!! We love our children dearly!! It was a really nice evening and we KNOW Aysun was just grateful! Just by viewing the photos you can feel Aysun's sense of relief & pure JOY she is experiencing. Can you imagine not being able to hold, snuggle, and sleep next to your brand new baby for over 9 weeks. Aysun was a strong & amazing lady through it all and her son is a fighter. I know who he gets that from!!!
To Ann & Suky...we missed you and hope you both get well soon!! To Aysun & Semih, we love you guys and wish you a life of health & happiness with your new bundle of LOVE!!
