Fayth's good friend, Alma, turned two yesterday. She lives in the tower next door and we find ourselves at their home all the time because they have a villa with a wonderful HUGE outside living area next to the pool and play area. The girls and mommy's have become friends. It's the party house because of it's great location and their generosity!
So, we headed down to Alma's for the celebration. Karen, Alma's mom, had tables, food, decorations, just about everything outside for all the "little two year olds" to enjoy...the only problem...the wind started to pick up and everything was blowing down and away. It looked as if a storm was coming! Before the HUGE wind storm, the kids were able to enjoy the Easter egg hunt in the courtyard and guest visitor, BARNEY!! Well, some enjoyed him...NOT Fayth and NOT Alma!!! Go figure, they love his show, love his songs, love everything about him, but up close and personal were crying and clinging for life to their mommy's! It was quite comical. Glad we're not headed to Disney this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, much to Karen's dismay, over 15 kids and their moms, moved INSIDE!! All I have to say is "Oh, my!" The kids were literally climbing the curtains! Remember, we all live in apartments...the space is limited. So god bless her...she kept her cool and the kids were in heaven. There were hot dogs, gold fish crackers, cookies, cake, ice cream, cupcakes, every kind of candy under the sun, and ALCOHOL for the adults! At the end of the day, it was a WONDERFUL party and Alma had a blast! Karen collected toys for the, Dubai Centre for Speical Needs, and we were all able to "weed" out a few things from our homes. Alma received some great new things as well. I'm sure all the little three foot people slept real well last night. As for Karen, I'm sure she is thanking GOD the party was wonderful and OVER!! Cheers to Alma being TWO!
