"EGG"cellent
O.K...this is so true and "egg"cellent!!
Today while Fayth was at preschool, I hard boiled some Easter eggs for us to dye tonight. Here's the world's best recipe:
* eggs in a pot with two inches of cool tap water on top of them
* bring to a rapid boil
* turn down to low heat and continue to "simmer" boil for ten minutes
* NOW THE IMPORTANT PART.......make sure you add a splash of vinegar, a splash of salt and the SECRET ingredient Baking Soda...about a tablespoon per pot.
* After your ten minutes of "simmer" boiling...put them in a cold bath of ice water...for about five minutes or until they are cool. I filled the sink with ice water and it was perfect! A clean sink of course! This insures no "green" outer edge of the yolk. They turn out yellow and perfect!
O.K. here's where you won't believe it until you see it!!!!!!!! To peel and eat. Tap the one end of the egg and peel the shell...Tap the other end and peel the shell...NOW, place your mouth on one end and BLOW...waa-laa.......................NO JOKE.................. the egg comes shooting out with not an ounce of shell on it. Beautiful, white and ready to eat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could take credit but I got it online on some guys YOU TUBE!! It's just "EGG" cellent. I still can't believe it worked.
Please try it and let me know. Stayed tuned for decorating and dying egg pictures soon!!
