Not So "Egg"cellent after DYING!!

O.K. for those chemists in the world... The tap the ends and blow it out method doesn't quite work after dying the eggs?? I'm puzzled. It was so wonderful straight out of the pot. I wonder if it has to be done right away?? Any expertise...please let us know.
