well...not really...let me rephrase that...Birthday Yacht Bash!!! Karen, Alma's mommy, and her friend Kristen decided to "do it up right" for their April birthdays!! They hired a Yacht from the Dubai Marine Yacht Club and invited their friends to come help them celebrate their belated birthdays!! It was remarkable!! I think the view of the city was amazing, the boat was gorgeous, and the eating, drinking, and chatting made it a WONDERFUL celebration that I feel fortunate to have been a part of!! I don't think I'll be having another Dubai experience quite like it!! We loved it from start to finish...and I decided to "be the photographer" for the evening. SO, 143 photos later, I am making a disc for the birthday girls and a few others!! I thought some of you would be interested in the views...I just couldn't pick...therefore, yet another slideshow...It kinda tells a story...and gives you stunning views of the Marina, The Atlantis, the crescent of the Palm and all of us havin' a blast on the boat!! Some of us even braved the waters and went for a swim...not to mention jumping off the top deck of the Yacht (way to go, Ann...you daredevil!). The gulf was so warm and refreshing...however; it was bit stinky!! That didn't stop us!! Again, a tequila shot for me and some great kabobs, hummus, and yummy snacks made for a perfectly wonderful way to celebrate two birthdays!! Happy Birthday, Karen & Kristen...thanks for the invitation!! Jon and I had a ball!!
P.S. Did I mention the YUMMY red velvet cake was from Magnolia's Bakery...the famous NEW YORK bakery...now in the Dubai Mall's Bloomingdales store??!! Yum Yum!!
