Behind the Scenes

We started out our day with dropping Fayth off at school and heading to the beach for a workout. I took Robin to the path where my friend Zeina and I walk everyweek. It was a hot one but we had a great workout!! Then after showers, we were off on a gazillion errands. First stop, the Gold and Diamond Park to pick up Ella's necklace. Well, how lucky we were when we arrived and they suggested we follow them to their shop to watch them "shorten" Ella's chain. OMG........I was so happy I had my camera...what a place and what an experience!! I asked if I could take a few photos and they said absolutely. Now, as you are viewing these photos, please imagine a smell of chemicals enough to give you a migrain headache...and notice all the grim, dirt and fire hazards!! It was unbelivable. I, too, have had some jewelry made by "Cara Jewelers" and am so glad I got to experince the true meaning of a "sweatshop." And to think Kristen and I joked all week about my bow business and our kitchen being her in the sweatshop. Well, after this experience, what Kristen doesn't know is...she was working in the "Taj Mahal" compared to this place!! WOW...just amazing...truly amazing. As a result...Robin is thrilled to death with her necklace for Mia and we will continue to return to Cara. They are a great jeweler!
