Cuban Night Out

Wednesday evening, Mary came over to babysit Fayth and the three of us went out. I asked Jon if he felt like a "local" having a woman on either side, two wives, and he didn't. He was looking forward to our night out and so were we. We drove to the Marine Beach Club and started at a Cuban restaurant for dinner. We had a great meal and "foofy" drinks to compliment it. It had a salsa floor but we didn't have enough cocktails to take stage and "bust a move!" Or maybe it was because the band wasn't playing until later. See...in Dubai...when we are normally heading home the rest of the world is going out to "play!" They follow a very "European" way here...late dinner, late nights, and start work later in the morning. After dinner, we walked outside and enjoyed a cocktail at the famous "hot spot" Sho Cho. It was a clear night and the view of the city and the Burj Khalifa was wonderful. We were ALL pooped and decided to call it a night. Mary said Fayth was an angel and she LOVED babysitting for her. Fayth has been INCREDIBLE all week...like she turned on the "good girl" switch for Robin but she had definitely had on the "high maintenance" switch the week the Johnson's were here. I think having two people here is different...at any rate...she was such a good girl, went to school all week willingly, enjoyed chatting up a storm with Robin, sharing story after story with all of us about Easter Camp and her friends, and even entertained herself in her bedroom at times. I am SO pleased with the way she has acted I will be treating her to a special "mommy & daughter " outing in the next few weeks. I'm thinking Ski Dubai for sledding or Ceramique Cafe! As for dinner...thanks Robin...it was very yummy!! It was her treat for us and so good!!
