HGTV Day Two

Good times, great crew, and we were EXHAUSTED!! Ya know how ya feel at the end of your wedding day?? Similar feeling!! Excited, having fun, you just keep going and going, and then you DROP!!
We both dropped last night at about 9:00. Our bodies ache all over...I think from all the standing and "nervous stress!" We were all wired up yesterday am at the Better Homes realty agency and started our day off by meeting our realtor Nick. YOUNG guy...cute guy...and he was more nervous than us. By day two...we were old pros!! Yeah right??!! We just had fun with it and continued to follow the direction of the crew and director. The "behind the scenes" men are all AWESOME! Truly genuine great men!! We started in the Marina with the whole meet the realtor taping then and went to our "house/apartment" number 1. It was a beautiful building, amazing Gulf views, great amenities, SMALL kitchen but nice master and two balconies...we filmed there for about two hours. Then, the crew took us to lunch. We all downed about two waters and sodas. See, some of the interviews and takes are outside and yesterday it was about 97 and humid. No breeze what so ever!! We were all a sweaty mess...I must have dabbed my face 100+ times throughout the day. Hope I don't show up on TV as a drowned rat!!! After cooling off and having some lunch we headed out to Emirates Hills area. A "gated community" you could say. It's very green, lush, and you feel like you are in "Scottsdale" which I LOVE!! This area has villas, not high rises, but again in the same price range as the other two properties. We loved the villa and all the space. Almost a bit too much space for just a few years...but...if we were to stay here longer and I had an automobile we would probably really consider this area! It was lovely!!
So, we spent 2-3 hours there and also filmed at the pool area. By 5:15 we were ready to die and needed to scoop up Fayth from school. She was in great spirits and LOVED that her teacher was back from vacation. So, ready to spend some time with Fayth, end our day and pass out on the couch, our "night" had actually just begun!! We had an ENTIRE apartment to clean, organize, and declutter before filming first thing this morning!! Our first take in the morning was an "as is" of our apartment we are living in currently. Remember, we've had guests, bow shows, and more guests. Our apartment has been neglected over the past month. However; we managed to do it all before 9:00 pm and then passed out! Then wouldn't ya know...we had a TERRIBLE wind and rain storm, in the middle of the night, and didn't sleep as well as we'd have liked to. Even so, we knew we had one LAST day to film and we eating it up with a spoon! All I can say is FUN...so so so STINKIN' FUN!!
This opportunity has been truly amazing. I have a better understanding of the hard work, long hours, makeup, hair, and clothes behind the scenes of all of our favorite TV shows!

I love Jon with his McDonald's Diet Coke. He maybe a t.v. star, but it hasn't changed him one bit.
