Thursday night we got a babysitter (poor Fayth this week...she's had babysitters, stayed at school longer hours, no mommy & me time...I'll have to make up for it next week) and headed out in downtown Burj. I'd asked my "food connoisseur" friend, Karen, for some good eats in Dubai and she recommended the Karma Kafe! Good food, great views of the fountains, and very chic. Of course, when I told Jon, he says, "Oh, yeah...I've been there, it's great!" He is a lucky ducky and when the "big wigs" come to town he gets to try all the fancy places!! So, PJ was thrilled he got to have sushi and the rest of us enjoyed the Asian fusion food. My favorite...the edamame appetizer. I also had some great shrimp as my main course and it was delicious. After dinner we strolled the promenade and went the The Address Hotel's, happening 64th floor bar, for some great views of the city and really expensive cocktails!!! The Burj looked amazing now that it is finished and lit up and the water show was beautiful as always. Our joke of the night...Kristen's "hooker" shoes!! She has had some swollen feet since arriving and her feet have gotten longer after the birth of Gilbert (and she hasn't worn the shoes she brought out in a long time)...so she borrowed a pair of my shoes for the night!! PJ...he was in heaven!! Just don't want to know how the night ended for them?? Remember...they are staying in our ROOM!! Ha ha!! It was a fantastic night out with good eats, treats, and great friends!! Thanks PJ & Kristen, for treating us to dinner!!
