Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy Happy St. Patty's Day!!
Today for the holiday us "4 gals" and our green attire headed to the famous Irish Village of Dubai!! It was a perfect way to celebrate the day!! We jumped in the car and headed toward the restaurant...little did we know...we were LOST and almost in Sharjah...however; with a minor detour we made it to our final destination!! First order of business...two large BEERS for the older gals!! Guinness, of course!! We sat outside, enjoyed the festive atmosphere (which is going to be hopping later tonight and the rest of the weekend so we've heard) and had ourselves an Irish buffet brunch!! The stage & bands were setting up and practicing a bit of their music. The buffet was super yummy and the girls were great!! It was a day of firsts for our little girls...First mashed potatoes for Veronica and first green milk in Fayth's sippy (I packed this & surprised her when we got there). THEY both LOVED the "Irish touch!" Lauren and I loved the fact, that on a Wednesday mid-week, we are fortunate enough to be able to be with our girls out to lunch on St. Patty's Day!! I do, however; remember and reminisced how I made green shamrock shakes with green sprinkles in my classroom every year for the kids!! By 2:15 we decided it was time to hit the road!! Two little ladies didn't even make it one block and were out cold!! Too much "green milk" for them!! It was a perfectly wonderful way to celebrate St. Patty's!!

I remember your St. Patty's Day 5 years ago visiting me in the hospital to meet Tag! With your green pig tails and all!
